Advance Variation
We've reached the Advance Variation of the Caro-Kann. The key difference from the French: our light-squared bishop is active on f5, not locked behind pawns. Next: complete development with Ne7-Ng6 to pressure the e5 pawn.
Classical Variation
The Classical Caro-Kann — we've traded in the center, freed the bishop, and developed our knight toward f6. The bishop on g6 is safe and active. Next: develop Ngf6 and prepare to castle.
Exchange Variation
The Exchange Variation — a symmetrical position where both sides have equal chances. We've developed naturally and have no weaknesses. Our plan: castle kingside and look for active piece play. The position is comfortable for Black.
